Football season has started and here at Fox Tailoring we decided to name David Beckham as our Style Icon of the month. Mens Health Magazine recently called him 'Britain's most stylish export'.
Both David and his wife Victoria have been dubbed 'Fashion Royalty'especially after Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding earlier in the year. David wore Ralph Lauren tails. The name 'Morning Suit' originated from the practice of gentlemen in the nineteenth century riding a horse in the morning with a cutaway front single breasted morning coat.

Optional extra's are a plain or patterned silk handkerchief (available from £9.50) or pocket square may be worn; it is folded and inserted into the front breast pocket of the morning coat;
A top hat, either classic silk plush, or a modern Melusine fur;
Gloves of suede, chamois, or kid leather; the most traditional colour is lemon or grey;
A pocket watch (available from £20) on the waistcoat rather than at the lapel, or wrist watch.
David Beckham's keen interest in his appearance coupled with his naturally good looks do not go amiss amongst fashion’s inner circle, and the lucrative brand Beckham has seen him, market his own
collection of fragrances and appear in high-profile advertisements - such as Armarni and Adidas. He has also recently teamed up with the high street store H&M.
David was recently interviewed by GQ and shared some of his personal style tips which included:
'How do you dress well for a wedding? Good suit, clean shoes'
'My most important style rule? Be comfortable. But if you're buying a suit, the cut and fit have to be perfect'

The tuxedo actually dates back to the 1860's, when Henry Poole & Co (Savile Row's founders), created a short smoking jacket for the then Prince of Wales (Edward VII) to wear to informal dinner parties. In the summer of 1886 the Prince invited New York millionaire James Potter and his actress wife Cora Potter to Sandringham House. When Potter asked for a dinner dress recommendation, the Prince sent him to his tailors, Henry Poole & Co, to obtain the new style of jacket. Potter then brought the dinner suit home with him to the Tuxedo Park Club, New York. The dinner suit proved popular; the club men copied him and the Tuxedo was born!
